Keystep Solutions Quarterly Update: Reliable Hotel Lock Systems & Hospitality Insights
It’s been another busy and rewarding quarter at Keystep Solutions, and it’s been great to spend time working with a variety of hotels, each with their own personality and challenges. At the heart of everything we do is keeping things simple, supplying reliable, well-designed hotel lock systems that just work, day in, day out.
Community & Industry Involvement

We’ve also made a real effort this quarter to stay closely connected with the wider hospitality industry. We partnered with HOSPA to run a pub quiz at Browns Covent Garden in support of Hospitality Action an important charity doing fantastic work for people across the sector.
We’re also proud to be sponsoring the BAHA Recognition Awards 2026, helping to celebrate the people and businesses that make hospitality what it is.
As part of our continued partnership with the Best Western network, Keystep Solutions was delighted to sponsor the Gala Dinner and Awards evening in January at The Belfry. The event recognised outstanding hotels and teams across the Best Western Network, celebrating excellence in service, innovation, and guest experience.
The conference itself was a great opportunity for the Keystep team to catch up with existing customers, meet new hotel partners, and talk through the latest developments in hotel access technology while also hearing first-hand about the challenges and priorities hotels are currently facing.
What We’ve Been Focusing On
We’re all aware the industry continues to face pressures, particularly around rising costs and the need to do more with less. Because of that, we’ve seen a growing focus from hotels on solutions that are dependable, easy to manage, and don’t create extra workload for already stretched teams. That’s exactly where we aim to add value.
This quarter, we’ve spent a lot of time working with customers on choosing the right lock styles and finishes for their buildings. No two properties are the same, so it’s been about making sure our systems not only deliver on security and ease of use, but also fit naturally with the look and feel of each hotel whether that’s modern, traditional, or somewhere in between.
•Kings Court Hotel, Alcester
Kings Court is a friendly, well-run hotel that caters for everything from business stays to weddings and events. From the outset, the focus was on providing a straightforward, reliable lock system that staff could trust without needing to think twice.
We supplied a no nonsense, easy-to-manage solution that helps the team keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, while giving guests a seamless experience. Sometimes it’s the simple, dependable systems that make the biggest difference and this was a great example of that.

•Ringwood Hall Hotel, Chesterfield
Ringwood Hall is a stunning property with plenty of character, set in beautiful surroundings and regularly hosting weddings and special occasions. It was important that whatever we supplied didn’t feel out of place.
We worked closely with the team to select lock designs that sit comfortably within the building’s traditional style nothing too modern or distracting while still giving them the benefits of a modern electronic locking system. It’s a subtle upgrade visually, but a big step forward operationally

• Newton Park Hotel, Newton Solney (Grade II Listed)
Newton Park has been a real highlight this quarter. It’s a boutique, high-end property full of original features, and being Grade II listed meant every detail had to be handled carefully.
We spent time understanding the building and working with the owners to choose lock designs and finishes that complement the period style. In some areas, installations had to be adapted to ensure original doors and features were preserved, which required a more considered approach than usual.

The end result is a system that blends in beautifully with the building, while giving the hotel team all the benefits of modern access control, better security, easier room management and more flexibility for staff. It’s exactly the kind of project were getting the balance right really matters.
Looking Ahead
As we move into the next quarter, we know the industry will continue to face challenges, particularly around costs and efficiency. Our focus remains on supporting hotels with systems that are reliable, easy to manage, and built to last, helping take a bit of pressure off where it matters.
Thanks again to all the teams we’ve worked with this quarter it’s always appreciated, and we’re looking forward to what’s next.
